Lean into lilac: How to wear this season’s on trend pastel shade
Lilac is a shade that’s been growing in popularity over the last few years, but this season saw catwalks awash with the pretty pastel shade.
Maybe it’s because ‘Digital Lavender’ has officially been named by trend forecasting website WSGN as 2023’s colour of the year that this shade has become so popular with designers and fashion lovers alike. Yes, shades like olive green and scarlet may have also had some prominence down the runway, but shades of lilac and lavender are everywhere to be seen at the moment.
Unlike a dark purple, which can make you look like a Prince reject, lilac is an easy shade to wear monotone or mix with other shades (note: the other big colour olive green is the perfect partner).
It’s also the perfect hue for spring and summer, and if you’re normally find in neutral shades, a soft lilac hue is an easy way to pop your colour cherry!
